Langtang Kyanjin Ri Trekking -The langtang region is the third most popular trekking area in Nepal. The Langtang valley is one of the most beautiful places in Nepal. It’s close to Kathmandu, there’s a wide range of scenery, you get right into the mountains within a couple of days, the accommodation is good and there are lots of possible trek combinations.
The Langtang valley has long been a favorite trek due to its expansive views, interesting Tamang culture, relatively gentle pace and accessibility from Kathmandu. In 2015 big earthquake and subsequent landslide has an enormous effect on the Langtang region, but aid and reconstruction have recently reopened this langtang valley to trekking again. Survivors of the landslides caused by the earthquake were forced to leave the valley but they have come back to claim their homeland, rebuild their homes and re-establish their. Carpenter and meson had gone from Solukhubu and okhaldhunga’s people and there are similar houses of Everest region now, The trek ascends the Langtang valley from just 1470m at Syabrubesi to 3870m at Kyangjin Gomba, pass ever- changing scenery and Tamang village to a collection of high alpine pastures, glaciers and peaks on the border with Tibet. Although the trek passes through lightly populated and undeveloped areas, there are still plenty of lodges along the langtang route. The trail offers exceptionally diverse scenery and culture. The superb day hikes from Kyanjin Gompa in particular offer spectacular close-up views of the surrounding peaks and glacier of Langtang Lirung (7246m), Kimshung (6781m) and Langshisha Ri (6370m). From Kyanjin Gompa, can climb to a viewpoint at 4300m on the glacial moraine to the north for superb views of Langtang Lirung. The most popular day hike is to the Kyanjin Ri viewpoint (4600m) while a tougher option is the climb to Tsergo Ri (4984m) another popular long day hike leads up the valley to the pastures around Langshisha Kharka for more spectacular views and we return to Syabrubesi , take the same path back down the valley.
