Trip Overview

Pattale village, it is in the eastern part of Nepal. Pattale village is a settlement in the lower Everest region of solukhumbu district in Solududhkunda municipality. It is situated at an altitude of 2840m from sea level. Pattale village is the best and nearest destination to go for Everest sightseeing from the capital city of Nepal. It is also the most affordable. It is 240KM from Kathmandu valley. .  It takes 7/8 hours by Jeep but it is possible to take a bus from Chabahil chowk Kathmandu. The journey starts from Thamel to Dhulikhel,Sindhuli  khurkot with a drive on the BP highway crossing the fast flowing Sunkoshi river. We will take Lunch at Mane Bhanjyang village (Subas’s sister home) then we turn towards the left counting Lagagale, Okhaldhunga, Biplate, Chitre and Todke via the ascending Pattale bazaar. The road is slightly straight Thade and Dhap. Early in the morning, we hike to Thale Dada for sunrise. (People known as Tower Dada /hill)

Pattale village where you can see the panoramic views of mountainsv like Everest 8848.86m   (Highest peak in the world) Kanchenjunga(8586m), Lhoste (8516m), Makalau(8463m), Thamserku(6618m), Tabuche (6495m), Numbur(6958m) Gaurishankar(7135m) Mera Peak(6461m center) and other many peaks. Pattale village hiking where you can see the view of Mount Everest without hard work. It is the perfect destination for old age people, Children as well as those people who can’t go to higher places. Pattale village takes red hue in March & April with rhododendron (National flower of Nepal) and white during the winter with full of snow. You can visit places such as Laureshwor Baba temple, Chagesthan temple and numerous forests around. The forests are covered with rhododendron flowers.  We can capture the beautiful panoramic mountainous views. A settlement of Magars & Sherpa, the village is popular for Everest views as well as photography at Himalai homestay.There are 9 lodges but it is not like other trekking area’s tourist lodges. It is okay to stay there, Many visitors stay overnight here for fun. The way they host welcome in Patatle and Solukhumbu. They first offer a special kind of tea, called  Shu Chiya (Local tea made of wheat flour and ghee with a slightly salty taste and Local raksi made of apple. we can’t get apple brandy like mustang but it has a similar taste.  Dhindo/ Dhido are a meal prepared in Nepal. It is prepared by gradually adding flour to boil water while stirring. Dhido is traditionally prepared from ground buckwheat, wheat or millet but corn meal is common as well. Another Potato meal, popularly called  Rilduk (It is like mash potato), Sisnu (nettle leaves) curry, Gundruk curry among others. Many domestic tourists relish the organic potato. It grows in “Bung”.It is available in Pattale, Banbhade, Mude and also Thade village too. It is possible to short Pikey peak trekking from Pattale village. It takes 2 days to reach there but it only snows in winter. Pikey Peak, known as PK Peak or Pike Peak Elevation is Pikery Peak I(4068m) Pikery Peak  II(4065m). Subas’s family will farewell with flowers for guest at Pattale village.
